Joanne has over 30 years of insurance experience. Prior to becoming an independent insurance agent, she was a claims adjuster. She moved on to a position as district sales manager with Erie Insurance Group. This led to branch sales manager and finally Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for Erie Insurance Group. To date she has earned the professional designation of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), is a graduate of the Life Underwriting Training Council Fellow Program (LUTCF), and currently has completed 7 of 10 parts of the Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters (CPCU) designation.

Bob has over 20 years of insurance experience. He began his insurance career with Erie Insurance Group in the Commercial Division as a Commercial Services Representative. This gives Bob an advantage when inspecting prospective accounts, being aware of structural and safety issues and recommending changes to help reduce rates and create a safer workplace whenever possible.

Both Bob and Joanne feel it is their duty to keep abreast of the latest developments in an ever-changing insurance industry so they may better serve their customers. They continue to seek out better products with strong industry leaders to provide the best possible insurance at the lowest possible cost.

Jennifer came to Powell Insurance Agency in September of 2001. She pursued and received her designation as a Licensed Insurance Agent in Property and Casualty Lines soon after she was hired. She has continued to study insurance related topics becoming well versed in Personal Lines of Insurance including Auto, Home, PCL and Flood Insurance.

Mary came to Powell Insurance Agency in May of 2002. Mary has more than 30 years insurance experience She presently holds a Maryland Insurance Agent license in Property and Casualty Lines. Mary also has her Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) designation. She is well versed in Commercial and Personal Lines Insurance. Mary attained her Associates Degree in Business Administration through FCC.

Jennifer "Lynn" Maloney   Lynn@powell-insurance.com
Lynn came to Powell Insurance in February 2003. Since that time she has obtained her designation as a licensed insurance agent in Property & Casualty lines. Lynn is curently pursuing her CISR(Certified Insurance Service Representative) designation and has developed great customer service skills. She uses these skills daily in her role as a Customer Service Representative.

Catherine Engel
Cathy is a part time employee in our clerical department. She has been with us since July of 1998. She has played a key roll in converting our paper file system to a paperless Agency Management System. This was no simple task with over 9,500 policyholders files to service. You may see Cathy at our payment window during lunches where she also covers for our full-time staff.
